Decision Reached on Future of MCPX

By Masonry

The National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA) announced that a decision has been reached on the future of the Manufactured Concrete Products Exposition (MCPX). This popular tradeshow, which has been enjoyed over the past three years, will continue at least through the year 2008.

Sylvester Schmidt, chairman of the board of NCMA commented, "The National Concrete Masonry Association looks forward to working closely and successfully with the National Precast Concrete Association (NCPA), the Interlocking Concrete Paver Institute, the American Concrete Pipe Association and the Precast Concrete Institute, to make these future shows even more successful."

This announcement follows a decision issued earlier by an American Arbitration Association arbitrator who had been selected by NCMA and NPCA to resolve a dispute regarding the show's future. Schmidt added, "As a result of this decision, the concrete products industry will continue to enjoy the opportunities and benefits that MCPX provides."

The 2007 MCPX is scheduled Feb. 22-24 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. In 2008, MCPX is scheduled Feb. 7-9 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.
