Local High Schools Want to Learn about Masonry Careers
As summer draws to a close, the school year is about to begin, and the masonry industry has another great opportunity to influence the career direction of many young people through Career Day visits and Career Fairs across the country. MCAA's 'Check Out a Career in Masonry' program has already prompted over twenty Career Day Visitor requests for the 2005-2006 school year. There is no better way to recruit the future workforce of masonry than through these one-on-one presentations by industry experts.
MCAA's Director of Workforce Development will be fielding these requests throughout the year, and coordinating volunteers to conduct these visits. If you are interested in visiting a local school and donating your time to our workforce initiatives, please contact Melissa Polivka at MCAA Headquarters for more information. Also, if you know of a school in your area that would benefit from a visit with a masonry industry expert, please forward those details to Melissa Polivka as well.
