Technical Issues

By Rashod R. Johnson, P.E.

There are a multitude of OSHA issues that have gained our attention this summer. Our contractors have received OSHA citations for many items that are unheard of, unclear, or misunderstood. Some of these issues are wall bracing, 220v grounding criteria, material storage on scaffolding, and overhand bricklaying.

All contractors need to pay close attention to these citations and contact Rashod R. Johnson at MCAA if any of these issues arise on yours jobsites. MCAA is in the process of scheduling a meeting with the Directorate of Construction at OSHA within the next month or two in order to discuss these and other issues.
