Apprentices Trade Places at the Architects' Masonry Symposium
Apprentices in town for the Masonry Skills Challenge had the opportunity to trade places with architects on February 8. Apprentices were teamed with at least two architects and the team was given the task of designing and building a small masonry project using a variety of masonry material.
While the apprentices worked on their design, architects learned the finer art of being a mason. After the design work was complete, apprentices were instructed to assist but not touch the construction of the project.
Prizes were awarded for first, second and thirt place projects based on creative design elements and project appearance.
